In light of inclement weather forecasted for the New Orleans metro area and Southeast Louisiana, J.W. Allen & Company will open tomorrow morning Tuesday January 28th at 8:30 am but will operate partially staffed while monitoring weather conditions.

Deteriorating weather conditions may force the early closure of our office tomorrow; however, our intent is to remain open as long as possible and provide service without jeopardizing the safety of our employees.

Based on forecasted weather conditions including snow, freezing rain and sleet, the container terminals inside the Port of New Orleans, the Customs Exam Station (CES) and the Customs House will be closed tomorrow Tuesday January 28th. A decision regarding Wednesday’s operations for these entities has not yet been made.

While we fully expect to resume operations on Wednesday January 29th, J. W. Allen & Company will follow the guidance of the LA Dept of Transportation, local and regional authorities in ensuring our safe return to the office Wednesday morning.
